Protein shakes | MaeveMadden

Protein shakes

  • Hi fellow Queens,

Hope you’re all having a great Saturday. I have started to add a protein shake into my routine post-workout. It’s the MyProtein Diet Chocolate Brownie. Is there anything I should be aware of? I’m just going to have a shake on days when I know that I won’t get my recommended protein intake. Many thanks, x

  • @Steph Bramley hey steph, I actually dont know much about protein shakes.... would love to hear if any queens experiences with them. X

  • @Steph Bramley &@Maeve Madden definitely would like to hear more about shake/protein or supplements to pls

  • Me too! So I started using protein about 20 weeks ago, I use Slender Blend by Protein World and I have it as my breakfast. I've found it helps with my muscle repair, toning and keeps me super full throughout the day so I snack less. Loving it so far ❤️

P.S if you love Mcds Banana Milkshake get the Vanilla Protein and mix with 1 Banana, lots of ice and water and it tastes the same!!

  • I'm not an expert but I don't believe there's any harm in taking protein shakes daily especially after doong a tough workout! I have a scoop of my protein vanilla and raspberry most days with my oats it's so so nice mixed with porridge and it just helps me get more protein into my diet plus it's very filling !

  • @Niamh Roche oooh great idea to put it into porridge- I have porridge every day for brekkie

  • @Steph Bramley so I use about 40g oats mixed with water and raspberries and into the microwave for 2 mins then stir in protein powder and add fruit and seeds it's no nice an feels ya up until lunch x
