  • Hey queens,

    Im not sure about anyone else but like clockwork usually exactly a week before I'm due my period my PMS symptoms start to kick in, it usually starts with cramps and mega cravings. All I want right now is to eat a whole cupboard of chocolate 😭😂

    I'm off chocolate, biscuits, crisps, sweets etc for Lent and I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of foods that'll shake my chocolate cravings? I think some people drink specific smoothies during their period and pms but I never know what to put in mine. I just feel like if I have a little bit of chocolate I'd end up having more and more and would find it hard to stop 🤤😅 if anyone has any sweet snack/smoothie etc ideas that might help I'd be so grateful! Maybe @Jodie Lawson-Wood might have some suggestions for managing cravings during our cycles? 

    Literally any help at all would be great queens, I feel like I've been eating grapes all day but they just haven't hit the spot for me 😅



  • Would having chocolate protien count as having chocolate during lent? If not, I'm loving overnight oats with mint choc protein (half a cup of oats, a scoop of protein, 3/4 cup of oat milk)! So filling and I actually crave it now. If it does, still try overnight oats but with a different flavour- I've used vanilla and strawberry protien before and it was just as yum. I'm sure I also have a recipe for coconut protein balls somewhere that I remember were good...I'll try and find it and send to you!x


  • @Niamh Byrne I'm also going to suggest a protein powder recipie 🤣 chocolate mug cake sooooo good! 30g choc protein powder 5g cacoa 2g baking powder 60ml milk, in a big mug, 30 secs in microwave and then a further 5 secs... Absolutely devine and a great way to curb a craving because of the protein value! 

    Just made low kcal cookies today that are nice! 52g oats blended, 14g cacoa, 30g sweetner, 37g choc chip (these don't count on lent🤣) 30g apple sauce 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1tbsp vanilla extract and an egg! All mixed in a bowl and oven for 10 mins. About 50 kcals a cookie and makes around 10! 

    I'm trying the yogurt bars in a freezer if they are a success will let you know! It's a blooooody hard week to get through! Xx


  • @Leonie Mcnulty Ok these recipes are looking great. I like the sound of the cookies. Amazing. I made protein balls and energy bars yesterday. I followed the recipes on.@thenaturalbornfeeder on instagram. Very tasty and a perfect little treat without the guilt.

  • @Niamh Byrne am afraid the yogurt bars didn't work out 🙈🤣 but i meant to say earlier I've heard milky bar mousse yogurts from the freezer are meant to be delish, they might just hit the spot for one of these kind of weeks 😋
